Project description

STATEC BINDER GmbH is a well-established Austrian company that develops, designs and builds highly complex bagging machines and palletising systems for use around the world. They are used, for example, in the petrochemical and chemical industries, feed production, agriculture and the food, sugar and fertiliser industries. The sales staff create quotations for all these different industries, almost invariably when they are away from the office – and each of these has to be an unmistakeable STATEC BINDER document.

The challenge

The senior management team requires all employees to produce standardised quotations. Legal texts and company information always have to be right up to date. When sales representatives are not at the office, how do they get the latest information? This is a technical issue as much as a content-related one. A special solution is required in terms of both the technical aspects and design.

Solution

Together with the software vendor gds, we find out what STATEC BINDER’s requirements are and develop a complex technical implementation concept. Secure access to the data at the company’s head office is required, and it must be possible to update the quotation template at a click. gds creates the ideal custom template for the purpose in the content management system docuglobe. This enables all sales representatives to create standardised quotations wherever they are – working from home, at the office or in a hotel. All they need is the Internet and a VPN connection.
